Award-winning Sportscaster

Born and raised in Petersburg, Virginia, I’ve always had a passion for sports and storytelling. That love led me to Virginia State University, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Mass Communication in May of 1999. From my early days as Sports Editor of the Virginia Statesmen to my time on the air at WVST, I immersed myself in the world of sports broadcasting and never looked back.

For nearly eight years, I served as Sports Director at VSU’s WVST radio, refining my craft and earning recognition along the way—including four CIAA Broadcaster of the Year awards. My career then expanded to the WTVR CBS 6 Sports Department, where I delivered sports coverage and co-host Final Score Friday, bringing the biggest stories and highlights to viewers across Virginia.

The journey has been filled with incredible moments—from earning several Virginia Association of Broadcasters awards to winning multiple Outstanding Sports Operation of Virginia awards by the Associated Press. One of my proudest achievements came with CBS Channel 6’s coverage of Super Bowl LII, where I was honored as an Emmy Award Winner.

Beyond the newsroom, I’ve had the privilege of calling play-by-play for the Virginia Commonwealth Rams, Hampton University Men’s Basketball Team, the MEAC Women's Basketball Tournament and the CIAA Basketball Tournament, helping bring the excitement of the game to fans everywhere.

In 2022, I was deeply honored to be inducted into the Virginia State University Athletic Wall of Fame, a testament to my dedication to sports broadcasting and my commitment to excellence.

Whether it's on the field as a play-by-play announcer or in the studio, my expertise and professionalism sets me apart.  I’m passionate about bringing those moments to life with energy, insight, and authenticity.
